Juvederm XC

Before i start this post,i just want to say that i am by no means any sort of expert on this topic.I can only offer my personal opinions and share my experience with you.Everyone has different thoughts, these are just mine :)

So for my birthday this year,my boyfriend got me lip fillers. That may sound super weird but trust me its not.I had been pestering him for months about it until he finally said yes.The one thing about any sort of cosmetic procedure, its important to be doing it for yourself. My boyfriend was actually 100% against it,but i would not let someone control what i want to do.Nothing is more annoying than hearing the classic "but you don't need it" line.Things like plastic surgery, tattoos, makeup, any sort of body modification is not about NEEDING it its about WANTING it.I also want to get implants soon, but i've wanted them since i was a little girl.I don't NEED to have larger breasts i just WANT them.I don't dislike my chest, fuck GIVE IT UP FOR A CUPS.To me personally though,i would like to have larger boobies.

So,i won't bore you with the details of finding a doctor and pricing etc (DO YOUR RESEARCH) I found someone i wanted to go to,and i set up an appointment. My goal was to have more "pouty" lips.I wanted it to be dramatic but don't get me wrong, this was not the look i was going for

I wanted to leave with a difference in my appearance but nothing insane. The filler i chose to use is Juvederm XC.This particular filler has something inside of it called lidocaine and it actually helps numb your lips while its being injected. This filler has a very high longevity claim (9 months) I have heard of it lasting on people for 3 months,6 months,or even more.I think it really depends on the person.Juvederm is one of the safer injections because what its made of is a product that our body naturally produces. So the chances of any sort of reaction are very minimal.

I have heard from a lot of people that lip injections hurt like a son of a bitch.I wouldn't say i have a super high pain tolerance but i can honestly say it did not hurt me at all.The topical numbing cream that was used on me was super strong and i felt like i was drooling everywhere. Then with the actual lidocaine thats in the filler,i didn't feel a thing. Its a very hard feeling to describe because it feels like a quick prick but not in the same way as a shot from the doctors would. Its a quick prick but then it goes deeper into the tissue and you feel filler going in.That sounds totally scary but i promise you its not.I DIDNT EVEN FLINCH and my eyes didn't tear which shocked me beyond belief. The top lip i definitely felt more than the bottom lip,but again it wasn't anything that affected me.Once the injections were finished, the doctor manipulated my lips a bit and moved the fillers around. It felt very odd.We wound up using one syringe and had a tiny bit left over.Looking back,i wish i just finished it but she said it wasn't enough to keep both lips even.I didn't want one lip to be noticeably larger than the other. It has to be the perfect ratio of plump.

As far as healing,it went very smoothly.I iced my lips for about 2 days on and off.I didn't use any sort of lip products or makeup around the area or on them. The doctor suggested i wait so that the injection holes would close.I couldn't kiss though (womp womp womp)
I did not bruise at all.IM NOT FUCKING WITH YOU,i had not one bruise on the inside of my lips or on the outside.I loaded up with arnica montana the day before, the day of,and a few days after and it certainly kept any bruising from happening.

Its been two weeks since I've had them done, and i can say I'm very happy i did it.To me,the swelling (which is usually everyones least favorite part) was my favorite. They were so swollen and huge,i was obsessed haha.Since then, they've gone down to the size they'll stay.I can see why some people would not like juvederm. It is a very thick filler (hence its longevity) and i can certainly feel it in my lips.It does not bother me though.I'd rather feel it and have something that'll last somewhat long as opposed to spending so much money on something that won't be noticeable after a month.Everyones preference is different.I don't think ill ever consider using a different filler.

If you're deciding to do something cosmetic to yourself, just remember to do research.Find someone you're comfortable with.Someone who isn't going to try and talk you out of anything but rather take what you're saying and make it work with their experience.Find someone that has a good consult  with you and answers any and every question you have. After you find the person, its in your hands. So many people will try and talk you out of things, but when you know your mind is made up just do it.Life goes by so quickly not to do things we wanna do.I never wanna look back and say "ah i wish i did this when i was younger."
I hope this helped!Ill attach some photos now.

BOSCIA Tsubaki Beauty Oil Review

"Tsubaki Beauty Oil hydrates and replenishes, leaving skin smoother, softer, and more supple. An excellent source of fatty and omega 3 acids, this soothing oil prevents premature signs of aging by defending the skin against free radical damage. Wakame (Japanese sea kelp) repairs past damage by replenishing protein and helps support natural collagen production. Rice bran oil restores the look of skin for a glowing, gorgeous complexion with its lightweight, non-greasy texture."

So,i've always wanted to try this product from Boscia because I've read incredible reviews on it.I was able to snag an amazing 500 point perk gift at sephora and in it was this along with two samples of boscia facial masques.THIS OIL IS HOLY GRAIL.
First off,let me list some pro's and con's

Pros:Smells beautiful,it isn't highly fragranced where someone with sensitive skin would have a reaction to it.It just has a very natural almost rose like scent. Its nothing over powering and i only smell it for a few minutes. It absorbs fast.Easy application.

Cons:The only con i can think of is some people might find it greasy.I can't say that i find it to be greasy at all.It sinks into my skin rather fast and i even put some on in the day time before my primer and foundation. It is an oil,so one must expect an oily texture.

I am in absolute love with this stuff.I've only been using it for about a week or so and i notice an affect on my skin.Im not one for dramatic claims but i can say for me personally it has made a dramatic difference.I have very dry skin, however i would not say it will 100% change that for anyone with the same problem. It helps a significant amount though. At night after cleansing,i will put some of this on my face and let it sink in before applying my sleeping facial masque from korres. The next morning my skin is dewy but not greasy. Its amazing.I applied it before my makeup one day and it made the application of foundation DREAMY.The biggest claim i can make about this product is it has certainly had an effect on my acne scars.Although i have dry skin,i have hormonal acne on my chin and along my jaw line.I have terrible dark spots/scarring from it and it makes me so upset!Ive only used this for a little while, and the spots i have are definitely lighter!it hasn't broken me out either. If anything, the little spots i had cleared up rather quickly with this stuff thrown into my regimen.

I also own the tarte maracuja oil,and at first i loved that stuff. The smell sucked but i thought it was making my skin less dry. After like a month of using it the exact same way i use this stuff,my skin was dryer than its ever been.It was flaky and i started waking up with gross sticky patches on my face.Since i've stopped using it,my skin went back to normal.People rave about this stuff but i hate it.I put some in my hair sometimes just because I'm stuck with a huge ass bottle!
If you have oily skin and have fear about trying beauty oils, you don't need to!Applying oil to moisturize actually tricks your skin into slowing down its natural oil production.I've read reviews from people who have oily/combination skin and they've had excellent results as well.

I'd give this one a try,its been amazing so far.

The Moisturizer Of My Dreams

Korres Greek Yoghurt Advanced Nourishing Sleeping Facial
Retail Price:$45.00

What it is formulated to do:
A centuries-old Greek remedy for skin soothing, moisturizing Greek Yoghurt provides a natural source of proteins, minerals, and vitamins to instantly nourish stressed, dry skin. This ultrahydrating facial-in-a-jar contains a Greek Yoghurt concentrate with two and a half times the protein content of regular yogurt, and works overnight to provide skin with intense, long-term moisturization and nourishment to create a smooth, even complexion. You will wake up to noticeable improvements in skin texture and more moisturized, refreshed skin.

Okay,it has taken me HONESTLY years to find a moisturizer that i love putting on my face.I have odd skin,i have hormonal breakouts on my chin and jaw line (plus some acne scarring which makes me wanna throw myself in front of a train) however i am no where near oily.I classify myself as having normal/dry skin.I've tried numerous brands, the last one being kate somerville, and i have hated them all.I have been unable to find a moisturizer that did what i want it to do.Perhaps i was asking for too much, but apparently not!Heres a condensed list of what i want my moisturizer to do.

1.Not break me out (the obvious)
2.Actually make me skin feel hydrated, and not just for one minute.I hate those moisturizers that feel good after you cleanse and then after a nano second your skin goes back to feeling like a tight rubber band.
3.Not make my face look/feel slimy

I recently started doing a murad cleansing routine because my acne was getting out of hand.So far i like the results, however everyone knows that acne products make your skin dry as hell.So i needed to find a moisturizer that put back exactly what the murad was stripping out to make a perfect balance that would benefit my skin entirely. No one likes to apply foundation in the morning and see it clinging to dry patchy skin.

After i cleanse at night,i apply a VERY generous amount to my face. Its definitely more on the thick side yet to me it never feels greasy. The texture of it is almost like a mousse. It has a very light fresh smell to it.Nothing uber fake or alcohol-y.When you first slather it on,it has a light cooling affect on the skin which is honestly, the best feeling in the world.Nothing strong enough to make your skin look flushed but its honestly so calming. When i wake up the next morning,my skin feels so soft but doesn't have the odd slime film left over my face.It sounds so cliche to say,but it honestly made my skin glow.My mom actually asked me what i did to my skin because of how nice it looked. It hasn't broken me out either. My skin literally drinks this stuff up like a washington apple (personal cocktail of choice.)I was shocked that it didn't even rub all over my pillow.Even if it did,i didn't see it or smell it the next day.I no longer suffer from tight face at night (well i do for about a minute until i grab this baby.)If you have dry skin and you have tried absolutely everything, cheap and pricey, stop what you're doing and go pick this up or grab a sample.I promise you it will change your life.If you don't have super dry or flaky skin i'd say this would probably be too much for you.I'd opt for the regular greek yoghurt moisturizer that they also have.I've read great reviews on that stuff as well!

Give it up for healthy skin!

So,how are we all feeling about the new MAC masterclass brushes? To be honest, they really look like a gimmick to me but i could be wrong and they could be amazing. The goal for these brushes (from what i've read) is they are designed for perfect application of products on your OWN face. The handles make working on your face easier as opposed to regular makeup brush handles making it easier to work on somebody else.

If i were to try any,i would try the middle one and the one to the right (oval 6 & linear 1 )
The middle one does look like it would make applying blush or anything on the cheeks an absolute dream.Linear 1 id use to press in black gel liner in my lash line.It would be so precise and close, then id go over it with liquid liner and do my usual wing.I can't decide if these brushes seem smart or not but if you've tried one let me know what you think!

OH and can we talk about the photos of an Urban Decay Naked palette 3 going around!?Is it real?Because the photos make it look gorgeous.I never purchased naked 2 because i truly disliked the colors and probably wouldn't use it but i would definitely pick up naked 3 if this is really happening.

Who else is tempted to buy some of the crazy good sephora gift sets that are out now for the holidays for themselves? Is it only me?Probably but oh well.
