I found this on tumblr and thought it was worth posting ;)
What is your acne telling you?
1 & 2: Digestive System — Eat less processed or junk food, reduce the amount of fat in your diet, step up water intake and opt for cooling things like cucumbers.
3: Liver — Cut out the alcohol, greasy food and dairy. This is the zone where food allergies also show up first, so take a look at your ingredients. Besides all this, do 30 minutes of light exercise every day and get adequate sleep so your liver can rest.
4 & 5: Kidneys — Anything around the eyes (including dark circles) point to dehydration. Drink up!
6: Heart — Check your blood pressure (mine was slightly high) and Vitamin B levels. Decrease the intake of spicy or pungent food, cut down on meat and get more fresh air. Besides this, look into ways to lower cholesterol, like replacing “bad fats” with “good fats” such as Omegas 3 and 6 found in nuts, avocados, fish and flax seed. Also, since this area is chock-full of dilated pores, check that your makeup is not past its expiry date or is skin-clogging.
7 & 8: Kidneys — Again, drink up! And cut down on aerated drinks, coffee and alcohol as these will cause further dehydration.
Zone 9 & 10: Respiratory system — Do you smoke? Have allergies? This is your problem area for both. If neither of these is the issue, don’t let your body overheat, eat more cooling foods, cut down on sugar and get more fresh air. Also keep the body more alkaline by avoiding foods that make the body acidic (meat, dairy, alcohol, caffeine, sugar) and adding more alkalizing foods like green veggies and wheatgrass juice. Another thing that most of forget – dirty cell phones and pillow cases are two of the top acne culprits and this area is what they affect the most!
Zone 11 & 12: Hormones — This is the signature zone for stress and hormonal changes. And while both are sometimes unavoidable, you can decrease their effect by getting adequate sleep, drinking enough water, eating leafy veggies and keeping skin scrupulously clean. Another interesting point: breakouts in this area indicate when you are ovulating (and on which side).
Zone 13: Stomach — Step up the fibre intake, reduce the toxin overload and drink herbal teas to help with digestion.
14: Illness — Zits here can be a sign that your body is fighting bacteria to avoid illness. Give it a break, take a yoga class, take a nap, take time to breathe deeply, drink plenty of water and know that everything always works out!
So the next time you break out or notice dark under-eye circles, look to your face map: your skin is probably trying to communicate on behalf of the internal organs. However, do remember that, as with all medical issues, it is always best to see your doctor or dermotologist for a proper prognosis. This is just a general guide to head you off in the right investigative direction – just because you break out between the brows doesn’t always mean you have a bad liver!
My Skin Care Routine
Happy friday everyone!I hope everyones week went well.I got stuck with the most stubborn cold ever and I'm currently drowning in sickness but alas here i am with a blog post for you ;)
Today i thought i'd do a post on my daily skin care routine. As a disclaimer,i just want to remind everyone that we all have different skin that requires different types of treatment.A product may work for me but it might not work for you it really comes down to trial and error.
I personally classify my skin type as normal/dry.I used to really just be more on the dry side but as of lately,it has been getting better. It may be because of the season change or maybe my skin care regimen is finally right.I do have whats considered "hormonal acne" which consists of a few blemishes here and there but mainly on my chin and jaw line.It usually will flare up if I'm stressed or if my skin just decides its mad at me for a week.I can get a breakout on other areas of my face but thats usually my main spot of concern. The only other skin issue i suffer from is scarring.I have a ton of acne scars on my chin that really annoy the shit out of me,if anyone has product suggestions for something like that i'd love to hear it!
Step one:Make up remover

BOSCIA
Makeup-Breakup Cool Cleansing Oil
LADIES,PLEASE REMOVE YOUR MAKEUP AT NIGHT.I will seriously cry if you don't.Seriously.
I think skin care is something that is very deserving of time and I've been taught to take care of my skin from a very young age thanks to my mother.Im not a fan of using a makeup wipe at the end of the night to remove my makeup because i don't believe that it actually does anything except smear the remains of your day all over your face. This makeup remover is absolutely amazing at removing every last drop of makeup and coming from a cake face, thats truly a blessing. Its a cleansing oil so basically you put a few pumps in your hands and apply it on your dry face then wash it away with water and a wash cloth.A lot of women think that if they have oily skin or acne prone skin that they can't touch their skin with cleansing oils or that they are specifically just for people with dry skin. That is not the case.Strong acne products strip away all the natural (good) oils from your skin which 99% of the time makes your skin produce MORE oil and causes more breakouts.Using any type of cleansing oil or beauty oil sort of tricks the skin into thinking it can slow down oil production.
MURAD
Clarifying Cleanser
As i mentioned above,i have a pretty strong dislike for most acne care products.I've tried a lot of them in the past (including prescription at one point)and they either 1.did nothing to help or 2.burnt my skin to a crisp which also does not help. This cleanser however is amaze balls.Im not sure what it is that makes it great but its something that really helps keep my small flare ups under control. Its not too strong where it leaves my skin feeling tight and burnt but its strong enough to work. Its really important to keep your skin moisturized ESPECIALLY if you suffer from acne. After i wash my makeup off at night,i follow up with this as my cleanser.Ive been using this probably for 6+ months and have nothing but positive things to say about it.
KORRES
Greek Yoghurt Advanced Nourishing Sleeping Facial
After the all that,i follow up with this as my night time moisturizer.I won't write too much about it because i have a more in depth review a few posts back :)
GLAMGLOW
SUPERMUD™ CLEARING TREATMENT
This obviously isn't a daily product, but once or twice a week i use this masque and it makes my skin actually flawless. Its extremely pricy i know but I've purchased it twice and i will never stop.I know everyone reacts differently to products but for me personally, this masque 100% makes a difference in my skin.It cleans out my pores like nobodies business and it makes the texture of my skin just better somehow. Its really great to use once a week if your a makeup junkie like me because its like a vacuum for your skin.Go to your local sephora, get a sample of this and you'll thank me later.Actually, your bank account will suffer and you'll probably curse me but in the best possible way ^_^
If you guys have any suggestions you'd think i like as far as skin care, please let me know!Im always down to try new things. This is what I've been doing for a few months now and it seems to be working out in my favor.Just remember when it comes to skin care its really trial and error and finding what works best for YOU.
have a blessed day bitches

Loving Tan Review
Okay,I'm really excited to review this because i have finally found the most perfect self tanner.I know thats a really big statement to make but i promise you.....i would not lie about such a thing.
First things first, its an australian brand. So unfortunately, shipping costed almost as much as the product itself but thats something I'm okay with after using this glorious tanner.A tiny insignificant thing id like to mention is that the company emailed me to let me know my tan shipped and they gave me a tracking number because it wouldn't update on their website. They did this without me reaching out to them which i thought was super sweet and great customer service.
It seems to me that their top seller is the 2 hour mousse that they offer. However,i decided to purchase the regular deluxe bronzing mousse because it came in "ultra dark." I have used pretty much every self tanner out there (including million dollar tan, fake bake, vita liberata, and st tropez) but each of them had something missing. For example,my favorite color was from st tropez dark but my favorite application was fake bake.
I digress, yesterday i finally received my package in the mail and as soon as i got home i did my usual pre tan routine.I exfoliate in the shower as well as shave.I use the exfoliating gloves you can get from any beauty supply store and recently I've gone back to using my snooki exfoliator from supre tan.As soon as i get out of the shower and dry off,i apply some vaseline spray and rub it in really well.Once i was all dry i held my breath and just went for it.
Let me tell you the first major thing i noticed..the way it dried amazed me.Mousses are always known to be super difficult to dry and thats what makes me hate them.I always tan at night and i swear to god the next morning I'm still sticky to the touch. This stuff dried FAST.Which made me realize i had to work at decent pace while applying it.The smell is extremely pleasant. Its not the usual coconut fake beachy smell that I'm sure we're all used to by now.It sort of just smelled clean and yummy to me.Almost soapy but in a really good way.Of course it has a self tan smell after awhile though.Every single self tan is going to leave you smelling like a soggy pretzel.I would be worried if it didn't because that would mean its not working. Its nothing insane though,my boyfriend didn't complain about the smell so thats something! This tan has a guide color so you can see where you're applying it.I didn't get a single streak while applying it.It went on really easily and it wasn't obnoxiously thick like most mousses that ive started resenting.
Fast forward to the color. This is hands down the darkest I've ever gotten from a self tanner.I almost shed a happy tear this morning when i saw the gorgeous color it made me.Not orange, not green, not some weird red hue IT IS TRUE GOLDEN TAN.I hopped into the shower and rinsed the guide color off and guess what?I didn't get out of the shower pale.
When i would use my st tropez dark,i'd wake up with great color but once i rinsed off the guide color it was barely anything! At least for me anyway,i like a significant difference in my skin color when i self tan.
I can't stress enough how in love with this product i am.I can't really say how long it lasts because i only did my application last night but ill give you guys an update after a few days! The only complaint i have is that my bottle is a little leaky. When i press down on the pump and the product comes out, some of the liquid oozes out from inside the bottle. Its kind of hard to explain but it did get a little messy.I just used a makeup wipe to clear it off once i was finished applying it.
Heres a little before and after action for you all. ^__^

xoxo

IS IT WORTH THE HYPE?Dior Addict It Lash
Hey guys!Today i wanted to review a new mascara I've been using and its the Dior Addict It Lash and you can get it from Sephora for $26.00
Im really pumped on this mascara for a few reasons.I never splurge on high end mascara because every single one I've tried I've hated. My holy grail mascara is and always will be L'oreal telescopic which is uber cheap from the drugstore.I have to be honest here, the reason i picked up this mascara was because i loved the packaging. It caught my eye immediately and i was like okay done lets try it.I purchased it in black (it also comes in pink, purple, and blue) and you guys IT IS THE SHIT.I once purchased the oh so beloved dior show mascara and i also returned that shit almost immediately.I have no idea why everyone loves that mascara.I remember thinking it literally looked as if i applied nothing to my lashes.Rant aside, this mascara for whatever reason is nothing like that. The brush is one of those really nice thick rubber-y types of brushes. Its only slightly on the too thick side (which in my mind is a classification given when the mascara wand hits your eyelid while applying.)
I have serious commitment issues with mascara so there will never be a day when i only apply ONE mascara.Im a two or three different mascaras kind of gal. However, this has now made it into my rotation. In fact its kicked out my jordana best lash extreme! This is a #1 mascara. What i mean by that is its perfect to apply to naked lashes and its perfect to layer with other mascara.I apply this one and it separates my lashes so nicely they have that sort of "feather" effect immediately.Ill apply two coats of this and honestly one could be content with just that.Im insane though so we move on to applying my l'oreal. The only reason i still use the telescopic as well is because it gives my lashes the wet black spider lashes my heart yearns for.On top of the dior mascara its like a dream come true. Not everyone likes the spider lashes,so if you absolutely hate that then you will 100% love the dior mascara. You can build it up to achieve very black and full lashes minus the spider effect with this mascara alone. It does not get clumpy and it doesn't get super crunchy (WE ALL KNOW WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT.) I don't like to use it on my bottom lashes because the brush is way too big for that.
Its way better than dior show in my opinion for the simple fact that it gives your lashes life.It looks like you're wearing mascara in the best possible way.I actually need to purchase the colored ones as well but thats a whole different story.
In this photo i have about my dior/l'oreal combo going on:
So,bottom line ladies....is it worth the hype?
YAAAAASSSSSS
Juvederm UPDATE*
HEY GUYS!Its finally summer and i don't know about anyone else but for me personally, i suffer from Winter depression as i like to call it.So it feels really nice to be waking up with the sun shining and for it to finally be warm out.
I wanted to make a quick post about my lips today because since my very first post, some things have changed.I now see Dr Warm in port jeff station here on long island and he is absolutely great. After getting my lips injected the very first time (the whole first blog post) i started to realize some things that i did not like. When my lips were injected,I'm not sure if it was the placement of the filler or what but the middle of my bottom lip sort of had a caved in look to it.Its as if she put filler all in the sides of my lips and none in the middle. This does not work because then you have plump on each side and you can see the difference in the middle. So right in the middle of my bottom lip was a weird indent and i hated it.A few months after that i decided to see Dr Warm.Unlike the first person that did my lips,he is a board certified plastic surgeon and has been doing it for many years.I know a lot of medispa types of places are probably good but since my first experience,i personally would recommend seeing a plastic surgeon as opposed to a nurse practitioner.Dr warm fixed the indent in my bottom lip as well as adjusting my naturally uneven cupids bow.If you're considering doing any sort of cosmetic enhancement READ DIZ
An important tip for me 2 u:
1.DO YOUR RESEARCH and FEEL COMFORTABLE with whom you choose to use.Dr warm is very nice to me and treats me with respect. He listens to what i say and offers his professional opinion on any suggestions that i have.A weird thing that made me like him was something he said upon our first meeting. When i met with him i said something along the lines of "i prefer rather large lips,i know most people want to leave with the natural look but i personally want to leave with a difference."His response to me was "Everyone has very different taste and its my job to accommodate it and help achieve it and make it good."This really made me happy because he wasn't rude or judgmental and he gave me the confidence that you need when finding a doctor.
Another question i get a lot is how many syringes i use/have in my lips.At this point its kind of hard for me to tell because i've gotten them done a total of 3 times and each time they still had some juvederm left in them. However, each time i go i purchase one syringe and use it at one time.So thats a total of 1cc.I have not used any other filler except juvederm XC and i don't plan to.The brand claims it should last between 6-8 months. It has been 5 months since my last touch up but the filler was not gone from my lips,it just went down a little bit too much for my liking ^_^
I hope this helps and if you ever have questions, you can ask me on any social media account of mine!I get a lot of questions on tumblr and i answer them privately so feel free to ask away.
